Product code: Vintage H. H. purchases Heiser #434 Flap Field Holster for 6
This holster is made from premium heavyweight skirting leather and the flap is snapped by the classic brass and blank enamel snap button bearing the words Heiser • Denver surrounding an intertwined HHH. This style of snap button, elongated the makers mark, and 434 model number dates this holster to the mid 1930s to 1955, although the enamel button strongly suggests a pre-war holster. The letters OP6 were scribed beneath the belt loop indicating H. Heiser Saddle Company made this holster to carry a Colt Official Police Revolver with a 6” barrel. This holster is in great condition with solid stitching on the seams and belt loop, intact rivets, working snap, and the leather is strong and flexible. There are small nicks and dents in the grain of the leather, scratches from the hammer spur on the underside of the flap, and some verdigris around the rivets and snap button which is common to these holsters and purchases indicative of its great age. Perfect for display, collection, or even field use.
