Product code: VTG 40s Artist Signed Silk Painting P. Chan Asian Bird Art Vibrant Chinoiserie purchases
Beautiful vintage painting done by Chinese artist P. Chan sometime in the 1940s. This painting has been well cared for with no issues of condition whatsoever. It is an original watercolor done on a silk blend batik fabric with a focus on a singular vibrant-hued bird perched on bamboo. The background is a subtle ombre of what reminds me of the colors of the sun setting in the evening. You will love the rich hues of reds, oranges, greens, and browns that bring purchases this painting to life. The artist P. Chan has signed his name in the lower right-hand corner. This painting has been removed from the frame it was originally in because it simply didn't work with the painting. You will receive the painting and the thick mat it has been placed under. The mat will have to be pulled apart to remove the painting which I won't do. Measurements are approximate with mat: 16"x12"x.25". On the back of the mat, written in pencil is the name, place of purchase, & date that this painting was acquired in Oct/7.
