Product code: European Sterling Silver purchases Spoon Newcastle Thomas Wheatley 1838
This spoon has 6 markings on it. I am not an expert on european sterling but as best I can tell, this spoon was from Newcastle and was made by Thomas Wheatley on or around 1838. I am NOT guaranteeing this info and I suggest that you look at the photos to see the marks for yourself to determine if I am correct or not. The spoon does have a very worn down monogram that could be an "H" purchases but it is heavily worn so I'm not completely sure about that. The spoon is in overall good condition for its age with some light scratches and a couple of dings in the bowl where it appears to have been dropped perhaps. There are no major flaws with it-just normal wear. It measures 5.5" long and the weight is 19.4g. (Bin#MER1).
