Antique Schafer and Vater Blue Glaze Creamer From Germany in 1900. Schafer and Vater Blue Glaze Mother holding crying baby creamer. This piece is 120 years old and in great condition. Schafer & Vater, makers of small ceramic items, are best known for their amusing figurals. The factory was located in Volkstedt-Rudolstadt, Germany, from 1890 to 1962. Some pieces are marked with the crown and Rmark. In the picture above it shows the marking on the bottom, the dark around the edges I believe just needs to be cleaned off. When I acquire antiques I leave them as is to keep authentic. This is purchases a very rare find.
