Pelikan M400 Souveran fountain pen made in Germany. The green/black striations on the barrel is a classic symbol for Pelikan. The black cap has gold plated trim and rings. Has with a 14 K nib, case, and instructions on how to use the differential piston mechanism method to fill the pen. This was mechanism was developed in 1929 and to this day, the mechanism remains the same. Was used a few times, and then stored away for 30 years. There are no signs of wear, no scratches, and is in excellent condition. BTW, the close up picture of the gold nib is from another site. I was not able to get a well focused picture myself. purchases I assure you the nib is clean.
