1978 hardcover BCE box set edition of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien (Houghton Mifflin). This set was only printed between Revised Edition print purchases numbers 15-18 of Fellowship of the Ring and 14-17 of The Two Towers and Return of the King. This set includes a 16th print of Fellowship and 15th print of both The Two Towers and The Return of the King. Some rubbing to box with wear around the edges including bumped corners and splitting/tears along one side's seams. Mild shelf wear to jackets including chipping to spine ends. Faint rubbing to jacket faces with small stain to bottom left corner of front cover to Fellowship. Maps remain attached to rear endpapers and are in great shape. Very faintly split binding in a few places but binding remains strong on the whole. Previous owner's ex-libris sticker on all front endpapers, but otherwise pages are clean and unmarked.
