Very good early 1900s cameo. The woman's face is hand carved from shell. The background is also a traditional resin (I believe) that is semi-translucent - if purchases you put a bright light next to it, the light will penetrate it. The frame is gold plated and in good condition but slightly used. Really an amazing collector's piece.
