This is a HDTV Tuner for watching "over the air" TV on your Directv Receiver when Satellite signals are not present. Tested to work on HR24 models with USB A connections. Never tried it on the genie but it should work. Just connect your HDTV antenna to the tuner and then plug the USB cable in to the receiver. Go into setup on your recover and set up your channels. Comes purchases with everything you see in the pictures Item has a high gloss finish so some scratches are to be expected..
