Tree is 6 Inches High VINTAGE 1976 DEPT 56 SNOW VILLAGE SMALL CHALET BLUEBIRDS GINGERBREAD purchases Very Hard-to-Find " ORIGINAL DEPARTMENT 56 SNOW VILLAGE ' SMALL CHALET GINGERBREAD BLUEBIRD COTTAGE HOUSE ' As Collectors of these First, Early Dept 56 Village pieces know, it is Extremely RARE to ever find . This piece was one of the First Original Set of Six Houses EVER Made by Dept 56, back in 1976. As a bit of interesting trivia, these Villages came about through the Inspiration of Walter Brockmann, who owned and operated a small studio that made small village buildings in the 1960's and '70s. The Dept 56 Original Snow Village pieces, produced through " Bachmann's Floral" in Minneapolis, MN; were first offered to the public for sale from retailers in 1977. The Set of 6 houses was only made for two years when it was Retired in 1979.The SMALL CHALET Cottage House Offered here is very quaint with Two Prominent Bluebirds perched on a Window Box with Blue Flowers.
