This is a colorful set of six hand painted chalk ware singing children figurines in traditional costume from different nationalities around the world. These are made by World Gifts of Japan. They were souvenirs sold at the New York World's Fair of 1964-1965, whose theme was "It's A Small World". Each figurine depicts a boy and a girl singing together. There is Africa, Mexico, Japan, Holland, Alaskan Inuit and Native Americans. Each measures approximately 4.5" tall and 2.5" wide. Four of them have their original foil stickers. In Very Good pre-owned condition. Only one chip (on the foot of the African girl) that has been repainted to disguise it better. The Native American girl has a small area of paint loss on her skirt. No other chips or cracks or repairs. Four of the figurines still have their original foil labels reading "Hand painted World Gift JAPAN". See photos for details.
