Vintage Tur Mai Kai Hurricane Glass -Hurricane glass marked for Tur Mai Kai, Kalamazoo, MI, with brown and yellow graphics. -This hurricane glass was shown in their menu to serve a “Zombie” cocktail. -Tur Mai Kai opened in 1969. The building had a wide, dramatic A-frame shape, and the interior was elaborately fitted with lots of tiki poles, carved panels and posts, bamboo, and beachcomber lamps. -The location later purchases became Peking Palace in 1979, and the building was torn down in the fall of 2004. Now home to Red Robin and Carrabba's.
