This is a perfect "leave it on" lens! Has at times been included with higher end Nikon bodies, opposed to the 18-55 lens. But this is a serious lens, not a kit lens, the fast f/3.5-4.5g speed gives it away, seems all the cheapies are usually f/3.5-5.6G. This lens provides focal lengths of 18-70 mm (27-105 equivalent on film cams) that work great for street photography, landscapes, portraits, a jack of all trades really. A great budget option to an 85mm, or even a 20mm. Slight crack on the reader but purchases does not affect the lense in any way. Great for everyday use and to fill the gap in your lens collection!
