Product code: Vintage purchases Framed Clown Prints by Dianne Dengel ~ 16.5” x 7.5”
I picked these 1960's prints up because they reminded me of my childhood :) They'd be so cute in a child's bedroom or playroom. These vintage clown prints are being sold as a set of three. They were reproduced on board (not paper) from the original paintings. There is a slight texture, shown in photo #6. Very good vintage condition given their 50 year + age. Photo #7 shows a crack in the plastic frame on one of the prints and photo #8 shows very tiny and unnoticeable scratches on the board of one print. The last photo shows the estate sale of Dianne Dengel in 2022 (she passed in 2012) and shows 2 of the paintings listed here. Dianne Dengel was very prolific and painted her entire life. She was a self taught artist from Rochester, NY who starting painting at a young age. The story goes that she was unable to afford brushes so she painted with her fingers and rolled paper, purchases which became her style. Her two most famed commissions were self portraits for Fred Rogers and Oprah Winfrey.
